Red Cliff: Shin-Sen is the sixth Japanese single by alan and the fourth in her five-single traditional elements set, representing fire in the Japanese Godai, or the Chinese five elements, and/or the Tibetan Bön. It peaked at #23 on the Oricon charts and has since sold more than 10,000 copies.
The title track is the Japanese version of Xin·Zhan: Red Cliff, the theme song of the Chinese film Red Cliff (Part I) which was released in Japan on November 1, 2008. A slightly longer end roll version was included in the film's original soundtrack album released in Japan. A different version of the song is used to promote the video game Dynasty Warriors 6: Special Edition (PS2). This edition later appeared as a special bonus track when people preordered her debut album "Voice of Earth" from Tower Records.
Also included in this single is the Chinese version of the title track, as well as the orchestral version of "Ashita e no Sanka", and two instrumental tracks.
